DURING THE SUNSET

I have to admit that I was waiting for today (read Friday) more than usually.

This week was very busy, long an tiring... I didn't even find time to do my fitness even though I promised myself I will do it 3 times per week and I am fully aware that exercising would make me feel better. But I was just so-so-so tired! Waking up, going to work, than some dinners our, talks about this-and-that , business, office, learning, progress... (just fyi: I believe that eventually I found a mentor in my business-stuff... please cross your fingers so it would be possible due to time shortage...)... than coming back home, falling asleep and beginning next morning the same race after I don't even know what...

I found a pic with a sign: 'Don't grow up- it's a trap' and I set it up as my wall paper. I truly believe in that sentence and recently so often I ask myself a question: why being-mature is equal with lack of time for myself, my pleasures and just following the stream of corporate lifestyle pattern? My remedy is this blog and some other projects I am involved in and I hope it will give me enough power to overcome the present reality and make my dreams come true.

To break this seriousness of reality and wake up in myself a bit of Alice in wonderland I experiment with fashion. Today, due to gifts of  mid season sales in H&M, I celebrated casual Friday with pineapple dress.  It was real bargain  (just 70 CZK) as well as positively spirited print to keep me smiling while at work.

Have a good weekend at work and wake up your own Alice in yourself!

JEWELLERY ISSUE

I always fell unsure about jewelry. I don't like exaggeration, I don't like anything too shiny, to sparkly and glittery... I like to keep my looks simple and definitely I like to keep it comfy.

Finding jewelry which I like is a challenge. This is the reason why usually I am choosing just watch and earrings. Lately I wanted something more... As I am not a necklace person I wanted to find some rings, I didn't want to look cheap though. I have seen so many pieces, but I never felt like wearing them. I had in my mind a perfect set of simple rings, which I could never find.  It happens to me sometimes, that I draw a picture of some item in my head and I don't want any replacement, I am searching and searching for a perfect design I have in my mind.

Recently I found a perfect ring set! It was hidden in H&M SS accessorize collection. It has all the qualities that I appreciate as it is simple, without any additional details. I bought it straight away. It is just perfect!

You can find it HERE.

Flowers and Bomber Skirt

Did I already wrote about the TEA-THING. I think I didn't so i have to start from the beggining. The TEA-THING started 'cos of my beloved 53R102K4. Well not all, 'cos I was always a TEA-PERSON, but he was the one, who inspired me to begin adventure with Chinese tea.

We started dating last year shortly before Xmas time and as a gift for this first holidays together I recieved from him a set of dishes to prepare Chinese tea. It was containing 4 adorably little cups, one bigger where tea is being brewed with cover, one little glass jug and little kettle.

At first I was not very into idea of preparing whole ceremony and following rules, which 53R102K4 was saying with his demanding tone of voice. After a while though I started fully enjoy the custom and I fully appreciated the taste of Chinese tea. Soft on tounge and so different than taste I knew till now.

Now after a year we are together enjoyin the ceremonies as well as taste of this drink and 'cos of that we are very picky about what to brew in our tools. Today is a day when after 4 weeks of awaiting my Chinese tee arrived, yupii!!! Can't wait to try it!!!

If you are interested in ordering Chinese tea check the shop we order in you can find it's website HERE. As i see it the best is Jasmin, but there is plenty of them which are good: Milk Oolong, Pu Erh and others.

As an addition to my tea story my today's outfit. Today I was so into spring :) A lot flowers inspired by Asian culture patterns and origami-alike skirt in European stylization.

DISCUSSING WHAT WAS MADE IN BANGLADESH

There are several brands which will never avoid controversy, one of them is American Appareal. Pictures oscillating between fashion and erotic were commonly used for brand's marketing purposes and the same trend continues on lately released promotional picture. We can see there a model, former Muslim, who is topless in opened jeans with 'Made in Bangladesh' written across her chest. The picture is simple, the written words are very direct and it begun a storm in medias all around the world. We have seen so many controversial ads of this brand till now, what is different about this one that it flamed up the public opinion?

To explain an element of scandal and controversy I will briefly bring facts from fashion industry. Nowadays it is very popular practice to use factories in countries as Bangladesh. It does not surprise as the costs of production is much lower than in so called highly-developed countries, but such cost reduction is made by providing poor working condition for factory's employees. American Apparel is one of a few brands which did not decide to move their production abroad. It's factory is located in LA and offers to it's employees all basic benefits, such as health care, which often are not given to workers in factories abroad. To highlight it's FAIR-TRADE oriented attitude American Apparel asked it's merchandiser, Maks, born in Dhaka Bangladesh, to take a part in  advertisement project that caused storm in medias across the world.

Maks is 22 year old, distanced to her religion and tradition. The ad's caption says "Maks doesn't feel the need to identify herself as an American or a Bengali and is not content to fit her life into anyone else's conventional narrative." The model herself is defending the ad and the cause in Daily Mail interview. "I was fully comfortable with the photo shoot and went with it"- she says. "I fully support the message of the ad. I love and embrace all cultures and religions. I am choosing to be creative and expressing myself freely."

How come such a good cause received such a negative feedback from all around the world?

We are living in a world where scandal is a common practice. It is so popular, that we gain a false conviction that taboo does not exist anymore. Unfortunately there is nothing like a society free of taboos. A taboo is simply a prohibition of an action based on beliefs and by beliefs we can understand a wide spectrum of commandments set up by eg. religion or politics. Taboo is giving us false feeling of secure, by prohibiting to bring up difficult topics we need to deal with  and following the rule 'out of sight out of mind',

Is American Apparel ad breaking taboo? I believe it does and probably more than one.

Firstly Muslim religion will not find any understanding for her action due to it's moral rules. Attitude towards woman in Muslim society showing naked body in public is still very sensitive topic. From time to time it is widely discussed, but very reluctantly modified by Islamic societies.

Secondly the consumers society demanding towards worlds economy are another topic, which is very difficult to discuss. The economy asks for cost reductions and offering cheaper goods to supply the market. The moral consequences though are huge due to many factories do not respecting human rights.

Breaking taboos is having also one more result and we cannot forget it. Apart from all good message advert presented by American Apparel is bringing with itself the main effect was fully achieved. The advert made all newspapers from around the world to write and discuss it's matter. This advertisement not only highlighted economical deficiencies, but mainly made American brand even more recognizable than it was before.

Other controversial ads which made world keep it's breath:

Tom Ford has released couple of controversial and eventually banned in some countries ads- here Eyewear

Benetton released many controversial ads, including it's cycle UNHATE.
Girbaud Fashion House ad inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's last supper banned as it could hurt religious feelings of ones.
Shameless ads of Suit Supply from 2010 considered as too shameless.
Just one of Sisley's ads that made a scandal: Fashion Junkie Campaign, China 2007

Excited on Friday!

Being excited takes away ability to write.... It is a fact, that I confirmed today.

I am going to Prague today for concert I was waiting so long for and literally only way to express my thoughts is : 'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa', '%!@#$#$^*(%$%##%&%&&^%*' and than again 'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'.

My boy was laughing at me so much. But I am really speechless, not able to create a sentence... Well maybe one silent scream while waiting till tonight:  'Let the time pass, Mr Einstein!'

I hope you will understand my state and lack of vocabulary. :)

I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination

I am listening a lot of lecturers by Rober Kiosaki. It is highly possible that I wrote about him already, but if I did not, just to introduce you to his work short summary. Rober Kiosaki is an extremely rich person from Hawaii, U.S., who wrote couple of motivational books about how to deal with your life, money, business and other important stuff in our life.

I tried to listen all book in one row, but I ave problems with concentration, so I decided to listen it randomly, taken by surprise. I shuffled 4 books with music on my IPod and now, for approximately 8 months now, I am listening to short 5-10 minutes stories regarding mentioned above topics while going to and from work.

Lately I was thinking a lot of about reality. It was said in one of the lecturers that reality is what we expect it to be. I am not sure if I am clear now, but what I mean is that reality is is not something found, constant which is just coughing us up into the whirl of events. Reality is something we create, it may be containing our dreams or our nightmares and it is just up to us what kind of world is surrounding us.

Think of that to make your life better...

Autumn Winter 2014-2015 Moschino

Each and every brand has it's own unique character, so after departure of Rossella Jardinithe last October,  there could be no better change for Moschino than asking Jeremy Scott to become it's creative director.

Designer is widely known from his spectacular approach and enjoying the art of fashion by adapting unusual forms for catwalk purposes. Brand is famous of  exaggerated geometric nearly caricature forms and attention to detail.  Such a composition had to go well as well as with a big bang. And so it was on Paris Fashion Week.

Designer adapts matter of media into fashion world. We can admire the characters of cartoons such as Sponge-Bob SquarePants stroll on fashion show arena accompanied by model in McDonalds inspired uniform and another in garment referring to Hershey chocolate bar.

Don't get mislead though. This is not a grotesque of fashion, but sophisticated fashion show. Between them inspirations we can admire well cut and perfectly sewed sets of clothes, with which we could fulfill our wardrobe. Fabrics from denim to leather are remade into shirts and blazers, trousers and skirts and as- per winter collection should be shown- variety of jackets. All of garments celebrates woman shape.

'I do not speak Italian, but I do speak Moschino.' was printed on Scott's T-shirt when he appeared at the end of the show. This is perfect summary of new cooperation. I believe that customers of the brand will not be disappointed as indeed Jeremy Scott proved that he speaks Moschino better than anybody else.

Autumn Winter 2014/2015 Miu Miu

For a trip from spring to autumn took us Miuccia Prada with Miu Miu's collection this week.

The variety of outdoor pieces is huge. Beginning with pastel jackets to dark woolen coats the choice begin. It's coming more and more, there are simple transparent raincoats, quilted jackets, puffa parkas and oversized gilets. All these are is going to make warm and stunning a Miu Miu girl.

What was special was in details. Oversized outwear was hiding chic shirts and girly hoodies in pastel colors. Simple short skirts were styled up by quilted or pleated design or simply thanks to fabric it was made from. Very feminine bags hidden behind the big jackets on models shoulders are breaking the sporty puffa look of 80's inspired jackets.

Footwear was two kinds. One was truly to avoid rainy pavements, the other to underline the need of chic Miu Miu's customer has. So we see wellingtons either flat or heeled and in between them perfectly feminine, subtle sandals and pumps with surprisingly industrial screw alike heel.

Designer was focused on outwear, which is no surprising thinking of winter weather. Coats together with accessorize are creating look of modern and young woman, who mixes casual chic with sophisticated fashion.
